Abstract
A novel strategy for fabricating waterborne superhydrophobic coatings with controllable adhesive force to water-droplet has been developed by blending the amphiphilic silica nanoparticles modified using thermally sensitive amphiphilic polymers with polymer latex, which could be applied for self-cleaning or no loss transfer of microdroplets. And a theoretical analysis of the relationship between the surface chemical composition and the water-droplet adhesion of the superhydrophobic nanocomposite coating is proposed.
